Another flight crew of South African Airways has been arrested after £250,000 of cocaine was found in luggage at Heathrow.

The 15 crew members are being questioned after UK Border Agency officers discovered 5kg of the class A drug in a bag on their flight from Johannesburg on Monday.

It follows a similar case on January 21, when 15 other crew members from the same airline were detained after the discovery of cocaine and cannabis worth £310,000 on their flight.

That crew has been granted unconditional bail and was told to report back to Heathrow police station on 23 March.

The 15 crew members arrested on Monday are in custody and will be interviewed by officers from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

"Crew members are subject to the same customs checks as any other person when entering the UK,” said Bob Gaiger, spokesman for HMRC at Heathrow.
