It’s the news we have all been waiting for, Mummy Pig has given birth to her third piglet and her name has been revealed.

During Good Morning Britain (GMB) today, Richard Arnold announced the breaking news during his usual entertainment segment of the show.

He told viewers on Tuesday morning (May 20): “It brings me great joy to announce that she’s here,” before GMB hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley applauded.

Richard continued: “Daddy Pig has just shared these pictures with me of Peppa’s brand new sister Evie, named after Mummy Pig’s Aunt Evie.

“She was born at 5.34am this morning, thankfully just in time to watch her first ever Good Morning Britain."

The showbiz editor said Evie’s birth was announced by a town crier and a special plaque in her honour, which unveiled all the birth details.

Richard said: “Understandably Mummy Pig is resting but Daddy Pig has let me know he will be free to catch up next week for his first ever TV interview."

According to the first official picture of the happy family, Mummy Pig gave birth at the Lindo Wing in London (the same location Kate Middleton welcomed all three of her children).

The birth of Evie comes just weeks after the gender was revealed for Peppa Pig’s sibling, when Battersea Power Station chimneys in London lit up in pink to show that Mummy Pig was expecting a baby girl.

Viewers can expect to see the new baby on screen in the autumn, but some could be in for a treat before then.
