Croydon's rugby star Elliott Daly believes his England colleagues can go on and succeed in all of their remaining Quilter Autumn International games starting with world champions New Zealand in a mouthwatering pre-2019 Rugby World Cup showdown at Twickenham this Saturday, writes Ziad Chaudry.

The 26-year-old, who plays his club rugby for Wasps, scored one of the Red & Whites four penalties in a tight but dramatic 12-11 success over South Africa last Saturday in their Quilter Autumn Internationals opener.

Co-captain Owen Farrell, who earlier converted two penalties, hit the winning points in the 73rd minute.

"I think as a team we were a bit rusty in the first half but we shown what we can do in that second half especially with the ball in hand," said former Cumnor House School and Whitgift School pupil. "We put on this brand of pressure and obviously we're just looking to come together now. We've got three more games so hopefully we can push on and do well in the next three games."

Obviously the All Blacks of New Zealand will offer a much sterner test when Daly and the rest of Eddie Jones's troops returns to England HQ this Saturday.

"My point of lucidity were a little bit rusty in that first half," he added. "When we came in and looked at that score line and saw what pressure we were under for that scoreline, it gave us confidence to go into that second half."
