Jeffrey Schlupp is in-line to make a return to the Crystal Palace starting line-up against his former club this weekend and he has a message for both sets of supporters.

With Wilfried Zaha suspended Schlupp is expected to start against Leicester on the left-flank, a role where he’s had success when coming off the bench in recent weeks.

Schlupp came off the bench to score in the 3-2 defeat at West Ham last week and made an impact from the bench when called upon at Brighton.

Ahead of Saturday's Leicester game, Schlupp spoke of his fondness of the club where he spent seven years before his switch to Selhurst Park in 2017.

“I’ve still got a lot of friends there and it’s a club close to my heart,” said Schlupp.

“It’ll be a special occasion for me.

“They’re a good side, well organised, they’ve got pace in their team and they use that to their best advantage, but we’ll be ready for them.”

Schlupp also praised the home side’s support, stating their importance ahead of the clash.

“Every club knows what it’s like coming to Palace, with the support we have. They are our twelfth man.

“It’s a game we’re looking to win.”

Schlupp conceded that losing Zaha will be a miss, but that Roy Hodgson has enough fire power in the squad to get the victory.

“Everyone knows the quality Wilf (Zaha) has. It’ll obviously be a big miss but we have a good squad and whoever gets in will do a job.”
