Wilfried Zaha has asked to leave Crystal Palace say reports

According to Sky Sports News the 26-year-old has told Steve Parish he wants a move away from Selhurst Park this summer in order to play Champions League football.

Palace are reluctant to sell their prized asset but would have to listen to offers north of £60million which would help off-set the cost of a new 100million stand.

Zaha’s desire to play Champions League football was well documented in a Daily Mail interview earlier this season.

"I have to experience the Champions League. I just need the opportunity, that's it. And I'll do the rest," he said.

"I'm too ambitious. And not ambitious just to play for a top club, but to win things at club level and with the Ivory Coast.

"For me to be better, to achieve what I know I am capable of, I have to aim to play at the very highest level, to win trophies.

"I'm blessed to have come this far in my playing career. But I feel like there is so much more I have to offer."

If he were to leave there would be no shortage of takers for the former Manchester United man.

Tottenham:

Tottenham are known admirers and made noises around the attacker in the past two windows but baulked at the asking price. However, with a Champions League final under their belt, they will have some cash to spend.

With a threadbare squad it would be a straight cash offer.

Chelsea:

A lot depends on the impending transfer embargo. They could offer Champions League football, huge wages, and importantly Zaha would stay in London.

With Eden Hazard expected to leave this summer, Zaha would relish the chance to fill the void.

Chelsea’s huge squad would also mean they could add a player, possibly two in to the deal.

With Kennedy being loaned out for the past two years, and Kurt Zouma also not featuring, they could be two possible makeweights.

Liverpool:

Getting in to the Liverpool starting XI may be tough, ask Xherdan Shaqiri and Daniel Sturridge.

The huge draw of working under Jurgen Klopp in a side that look set to be competing for trophies the next few years is appealing.

Who knows, Shaqiri and Sturridge could be sent the other way too.

Manchester City:

He’d be guaranteed silverware but would he be guaranteed the gametime?

Ryiad Mahrez, Leroy Sane have all struggled to nail down a starting berth in a squad of endless talent, would Selhurst’s finest be up for the fight?

Financially they’d be able to afford it, but under Pep Guardiola they don’t seem to be paying over the odds for any player compared to their neighbours. Would £80million warn them off?

Arsenal:

The Gunners need to beat Chelsea in the Europa League final to secure Zaha’s services.

A huge ask but they have a good record against the Blues in finals.

With Aaron Ramsey needing replacing, and Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan not convincing Unai Emery, Zaha has emerged as a strong recruit.

They could offer players plus cash, but do they have any that would make Palace stronger?

Manchester United:

They don’t offer Champions League football,nor do they offer any real threat of a title charge next season, they do offer huge wages though.

Could that be enough?

You’d think not considering he had a torrid time during his brief stint there seven years ago.

Abroad?

One team that keeps getting mentioned is Borussia Dortmund.

The German outfit aren’t afraid to plunge in to the Premier League for players and according to reports they’ve earmarked Zaha as a replacement for Jadon Sancho should the much hyped 19-year-old move on.

Dortmund offer Champions League football, a genuine domestic title push each year, and he'd be at a place where ‘if you get it right', you’ll be revered by the fans…much like somewhere in South East London.
