How did Thomas Frank's men rate in their 3-2 defeat:

Daniel Bentley – could do nothing for the goals and made a fine save to deny McGoldrick to keep the Bees in it. Occasionally wayward off the floor, finding the stand and not the man more than once. 6

Yoann Barbet – brought in on the left to combat the physical threat of Lundstram and McGoldrick. Struggled and was poor in possession. 5

Ezri Konsa – was provided little protection by his midfield and was left exposed far too frequently. Made some important interceptions but was required to do so far too often. Unfortunate to get the own goal but teams are starting to figure out his and Mepham’s partnership. 5

Chris Mepham – a far better performance from the centre-half who’s come in for some criticism recently. Looked composed on the ball and very assured when hounded by their persistent attack. Still very young and needs some guidance alongside him. 6

Henrik Dalsgaard – seems odd saying this- he impressed going forward but a weakness in defence. Got beaten far too frequently down the right and Sheffield United should’ve made more from their chances. That said, always gives his all for the shirt. 6

Josh McEachran – neat and tidy in possession once again. How often do we say that?! Great when protecting a lead but when you need a goal, you want more going forward from the talented midfielder. Took a yellow for the team. 6

Lewis Macleod – covered a lot of ground but sadly without the ball. Against a physical midfield he handled himself well but couldn’t get forward as much as he would’ve liked. 5

Romaine Sawyers – such a classy player but sometimes too extravagant. A robust midfield which Sheffield had, had little time for his trickery and he floated in and out of the game. When he did flicker in to the game, it’s always a delight to watch. 7

Alan Judge – found it tough first half against a big back four but endeavoured throughout. Was isolated when in possession in the final third and saw himself dropping deeper and deeper to get on it. Nearly scored a spectacular effort but saw his volley go inches wide. 6

Sergi Canos – an improved performance from the weekend’s defeat by Boro. Looked to go on the attack and beat a man and most opportunities. Made a number of clever runs coming in from the left flank which were not spotted. Unfortunate to taken off. 6

Neal Maupay – took his goal well and did hold it up as much as he could. Looked very isolated at times and would surely benefit from playing alongside a more physical strike partner. 6

Subs:

Moses Odubajo – N/A

Josh Dasilva – N/A

Emiliano Marcondes – very good on the ball and got involved from the off. Looked the most likely to find the killer pass or beat a man with trickery. 7
