A Carshalton man died in custody before he and his two brothers were due to go on trial accused of murdering a Tooting pensioner.
Jonathan Palmer, 30, of Green Wrythe Lane, was due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, along with Stuart Palmer, 28, of Kew Bridge Road, Brentford, and their half-brother Jason Lewin, 33, of Glenthorpe Road, Morden.
June 4: Pair in court over murder charge
The case was delayed for an unspecified reason. It has since been revealed Jonathan had died although it is not clear at this stage how he died.
They were charged with the murder of 75-year-old Peter Lee, who died in hospital after being hit by a car on June 1.
A date for Stuart and Mr Lewin to stand trial has not been set, but the two are due for mention at the Old Bailey on Monday.
All three brothers denied murder and aggravated burglary during their appearance in court on Friday, August 21.
