Roads surrounding Tooting Broadway Tube station were closed as police investigated a “suspicious package”.
Tooting High Street, Garratt Lane and Garratt Terrace were evacuated as officers arrived at the scene at 8.25pm on Saturday, January 28.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman has since confirmed the item was found to be non-suspicious.
Transport for London confirmed the roads surrounding the Tube station were reopened after the investigation was stood down at 9.20pm.
